The lining is the one detail that matters most for decorating. A lined pant gives you a stable second layer behind the panel, so a dense monogram or applique sits flat without the gingham puckering — on an unlined bottom the same design needs a stabilizer you would otherwise have to add yourself.
Size the design off the flat measurements. There are seven sizes:
- Waist: 7.5 in at 12M, 8.25 in at 2T, 8.75 in at 4T, 10 in at size 6
- Inseam: 10.5 in at 12M, 13.25 in at 2T, 15.25 in at 4T, 17.75 in at size 6
- Sizes: 12M and 18M, toddler 2T through 5T, then boys' 6 — the run stops at 6, four sizes short of our solid tees
One back pocket sits on the right. Keep leg embroidery forward of it, and if a customer wants a name on the seat, stitch the pocket itself rather than around it — the pocket panel is a single flat layer and behaves better than the seam beside it.
Nine patterns, seven sizes. Red, Navy, Brown, Black and Gray Gingham are the year-round grounds; Orange and Lime Green Gingham carry fall and spring sets; and Red Windowpane Check and Blue Windowpane Check trade the small check for a wider grid that reads cleaner under a large applique.

Can I embroider on pants or shorts?
While pants and shorts are primarily used to complete an outfit, some crafters do add small embroidered details or monograms to the back pocket area or leg hems.

Shipping Information
We process orders Monday through Friday(excluding holidays) during normal business hours in the order in which they are received. However, expedited-shipping orders are a higher priority and are processed more quickly. Orders are shipped within 24 business hours, unless we experience high order volume.
