Same body, same empire seam and the same ruffle hem as the short sleeve dress across all 10 sizes, so a design already digitized for one runs on the other without redrawing — the only thing that changes is the sleeve. The seam sits high, which leaves the whole panel above it flat and free of darts.

- Length: 17 in at 12M, 19 in at 2T, 22 in at 4T, 25 in at size 6, 29.5 in at size 12
- Full run: 12M and 18M, toddler 2T through 5T, then girls' 6, 8, 10 and 12

Our empire waist dresses are knee-length with a ruffle hem. The high waistline gives you a generous chest area for embroidery, monograms, or applique.
Can I embroider on the skirt portion?
While the chest area is ideal for hooping, some crafters do embroider on the skirt. The 6+ oz interlock fabric holds stitches well throughout the garment.
